Cicilline Statement on Judiciary Committee Passage of Bipartisan Small Business Reorganization Act

Thursday, July 11, 2019

WASHINGTON – U.S. Congressman David N. Cicilline (RI-01), who introduced the Small Business Reorganization Act (H.R. 3311) with Republican Congressman Ben Cline (VA-06), issued the following statement today after the bill passed the House Judiciary Committee:

“The bankruptcy system should give people with unmanageable debt the chance for a fresh start. It’s supposed to work for everyone. That’s why I’m so proud to be leading the fight to pass this critical bipartisan bill to give small businesses and working men and women relief. I look forward to passing this bill through the House. The Senate should take it up without delay.”
