Cicilline Calls on Secretary of Labor to Step Down

Tuesday, July 9, 2019

WASHINGTON – Democratic Policy and Communications Committee (DPCC) Chair David N. Cicilline (RI-01) issued the following statement today:

“Secretary Acosta needs to step down immediately. No one can give an incredibly generous plea deal to a remorseless child molester and still expect to hold the public’s trust. As U.S. Attorney, Secretary Acosta failed Jeffrey Epstein’s victims. He failed the people of South Florida. He cannot continue to serve as Secretary of Labor.”
