WASHINGTON - U.S. Congressman David N. Cicilline (D-RI), a member of the House Judiciary Committee, issued the following statement after the Ninth Circuit ruled unanimously against President Trump's Muslim Ban:

“Once again, a federal court has struck down President Trump's Muslim Ban. Today's ruling confirms that the Trump administration intended for this policy to discriminate against Muslims. This policy was never designed to make us safer - in fact, it would make us less safe. And once again, a court has ruled the Muslim Ban unconstitutional.”

“The President has wasted substantial taxpayer resources defending his Muslim Ban in court. It's time for him to let this go and get back to work for America's working families. He can start by proposing a real jobs bill, an infrastructure plan that actually invests in our communities, and a plan to make higher education affordable.”
