Join the Campaign Since I became Mayor of the City of Providence, and it has been an exciting and challenging time, as we have made dramatic changes in the culture of government. Volunteers have been a critical part of the City’s turn-around– from its fiscal structure to the police advisory board to the school board nominating process to the sound planning of our city’s twenty-five neighborhoods. I vowed to open government up - making it honest, predictable and inclusive, and we have. And now, I come to you again, to ask for your help. Much of our city’s success comes through the hard and valuable work of volunteers – as a city and as a campaign. Your ideas, energy and commitment to my candidacy are in no small measure responsible for Providence’s "new day". There are a variety of ways in which you can help on this campaign.
